6 YEAR-LIFECYCLES

In a little book called "Secrets of Japanese Astrology, the Science of Kikagu", by Takeo Mori & Dragan Milenkovic (ISBN 780834802902) , which describes an astrology very similar to Chinese astrology forms, I found a very interesting table (adapted here somewhat) describing a 6 year rhythm in our life. This table divides each 6-year period in 6 phases, the first year being the year of sowing, the second of taking root, etcetera (see below). It seems to me that this cyclic division applies not only to the generic lifecycle of human beings but also to companies, organizations etcetera. Because Western Astrology works with 12 phases in a cycle (the zodiac being 12 signs of an unfolding cycle), it makes sense to place the first 6 signs in the first 6 years, which generally refer to personal development (Aries to Virgo) and the second series of 6 years to the next 6 signs, which generally refer to social development. See for yourself in the table above whether this makes sense to your life: what age are you? Go the to the respective number and read in the toprow where you are in a particular cycle of 6 years.
