Nicolas
Sarkozy 's lovelife
In
ISAR's ezine of January 8 French astrologer
Nathalie Bossiere provided the birthdata for both
Carla Bruni as well as for Cecilia Sarkozy whom
Nicolas divorced soon after his election as French
president in 2007.

I
am not going to look indepth at their natal charts,
synastry or composites but instead will have a
quick look at their respective Venus personare
charts. (Venus Personare charts are to be the
subject of one of my talks at UAC in Denver in May).
Venus
personare charts give a quick view at just the
love life of an individual, nothing more, nothing
less though. It is a pretty precise chart, which,
when using KOCH houses, can be measured for their
accuracy by having Saturn and Pluto transits go
through the houses.
From
the simple fact that Carla is 10 years younger
than Cecilia, has been a topmodel and an actress,
I presume that Nicolas Sarkozy goes after an ego
boost falling in love at his age with a much
younger person, not an uncommon feature, for the
feeling of youth and still "counting"
is then rejuvenated rather than the onset of
middle age, which is very hard to take in one's
fifties.
And
sure enough, the Venus personare of Nicolas
Sarkozy shows macho type behaviour:
For
what we see here is Mars in Scorpio right on the
Ascendant, square Uranus (do I need to
describe that?). There is also sensitivity to
matters of intimacy with Saturn in Scorpio in the
first house square Pluto in the 10th. In
itself Venus in Capricorn is "faithful"
enough, but it is also placed in the 3rd house
giving it a Gemini flavour (Cecilia's Ascendant is
Gemini).
The
Saturn-Neptune opposition of the previous winter
was right across the IC-MC axis of his Venus
personare chart suggesting that the split with
Cecilia was already apparent over a year ago.
The
Venus personare of Cecilia:
Cecilia
must be used to sudden and unexpected ruptures
from males in her love-life with a Sun-Venus
conjunction in Aquarius in the 10th, opposite
Uranus in the 4th. Pluto is dominant in the
4th, squaring the Ascendant, meaning that she must
have been thrown back in on herself quite often in
her love life (due to work related issues as well).
In 2007 Pluto transit changed house, and Pluto
changing house is not only an incredible shift in
our natal charts and personal lives, for when they
occur in personare charts, the same deep shifts
happen. A new issue, Pluto in the 8th and power
and powerlessness is her next Pluto process.
Saturn transited the IC in 2005 suggesting that
the marriage was already over at that time. In
September 2007 Saturn transited Pluto in the 4th
itself.
The
Venus personare of Carla Bruni:
Venus
is flamboyantly in Sagittarius squaring Pluto and
Jupiter in the 9th house. Pluto transited Venus
already in 2006, and is squaring Jupiter (overconfidence
and extreme happiness), from December 2007, and 2
more times in 2008. In itself she could --with the
Sun conjunct cusp 12 -- fall for a secret lover,
but with too much 9th house emphasis, especially
right now with Saturn transiting the 9th house as
well, a foreign lover, another country,politics
and being publicized is fitting.
